So how to plop, you ask? Here are a few approaches to consider.
Wet plopping
Fresh out of the shower, apply your curl cream and gel to sopping wet hair. Then gently lower your curls onto a microfibre towel or cotton t-shirt. Secure your towel and leave your curls for a bit. Take off the towel and diffuse your curls or leave to air dry.
Micro plopping
Instead of lowering your whole head of wet curls onto a towel, take the towel and gently scrunch upwards toward the roots. Do this is small sections with your head tilted to the sides and front.
Dry plopping
Once your curls are dry, lower them gently onto a silk or satin scarf and secure. This is a great tip if you’re getting ready for an event and you don’t want anything messing up those gorgeous curls.
